Modular Container Homes are eco-fabulous container homes that has incredible style despite its small size and rectangular configuration. It lies up on a hill near Playa Hermosa, a beach area south of Jaco, Costa Rica.
The house is arranged simply: two 20 ft containers spaced roughly 24 feet apart and lying parallel to each other. Each container holds a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
In between the two containers is a traditionally constructed space that serves as the kitchen, dining, living, and even foyer areas. Both long ends of this room have tons of windows, while the shorter sides open into each of the containers.
The traditional construction is arguably a bit of a misnomer. Rather than use dimensional lumber, concrete blocks, or other material, the room is built largely from roughly hewn logs. It gives a pleasant, natural vibe to the space that meshes well with the white elements that are also used on hybrid shipping container homes.
